Library
The Superior Public Library is located at 449 N Kansas St. Anyone over the age of 5 and living inside the city limits may receive a free library card. Non-residents may apply for an individual or family card for $18.00 per year. A card in good standing enables the cardholder to check out up to 10 items at a time.
Items available at the library include books, audio books, magazines, reference books, newspapers and extensive book collections.
Genealogy: The library has in their collection books, microfilm and databases of Nuckolls County, NE and some Jewell County, KS materials. It also has many books from around the country. Check the Superior Public Library website or card catalog for a complete listing.
Services provided include Inter-library loan, Chris, Nebraska Access and computers for patron use, wireless access to the internet, story time and summer reading programs for children, outreach programs including a traveling large-print library to the Superior Good Samaritan Center, delivery service to homes and preschools.
The library has a meeting room available to the public by appointment. The room is available for use even if the library is not open and will hold up to 40 people.
