Parks and Recreation

The City of Superior has two parks – Lincoln Park and the City Park. Lincoln Park is located on the west edge of town where the campground is located. There are 20 concrete pads with electrical hookups. Water is available along with a dump station. There is no fee for camping but donations are always welcome. In Lincoln Park, you will find catch/release fishing, frisbee golf, horseshoes, volleyball, tennis courts nearby, playground equipment, picnic shelters and workout equipment for your health-conscious campers!

In the City Park located along Highway 14 between 7th and 6th Streets, you will find playground equipment, picnic shelter, band shelter and during the summer months, a Farmers’ Market is held each Friday evening.

Swimming Pool

The swimming pool was recently renovated with two new water slides added. Depending on the number of swimmers, four to five lifeguards are on duty keeping the pool a safe environment. For the toddlers, a wading pool is available with parental supervision.

Passes:  Family Pass: $150 – $20 for each additional person after 4 people; Single Pass: $100.

Cemetery

Evergreen Cemetery is owned by the City of Superior and is governed and maintained by the Park and Cemetery Board. It is located on the north edge of Superior and is unique in that it is divided by Highway 14 so there is the East Side and the West Side. A newly renovated chapel is located on the East Side of the cemetery, which is available for use and can accommodate up to 40 people. Cemetery records are kept in the City Clerk’s office and you may contact the City Clerk to purchase cemetery lots.
